After the success of the 2011 Swiss Chemical Society-Syngenta symposium, we are pleased to announce a new edition of a SCS-Syngenta symposium Thursday 24th October 2013.

This one-day event entitled “Frontiers in Fluorine Chemistry” will be held on the Syngenta research campus in Stein, Switzerland close to Basel in Switzerland. The focus will be on organofluorine compounds which continue to play an important role in academia and industry as catalysts, drugs, agrochemicals and novel materials.

The program will feature 3 plenary lectures (Prof. Jinbo Hu, Prof. Antonio Togni, Prof. David O’Hagan) and 6 invited lectures (Dr. Stefan Abele, Dr. Guillaume Berthon, Dr. Emmanuel Magnier, Prof. Ryan Gilmour, Prof. Santos Fustero, Prof. Peer Kirsch).

This symposium is also an opportunity to strengthen the link between chemical industries and academic laboratory. A poster session will round out the program and poster prices will award the best posters.
